Over the past year, I've actively participated in various Zumba fundraisers and this April, I'm about to do another.
It's funny, but I get a lot of flack from people wanting to know why I keep volunteering and dontating my time.
I just can't imagine NOT doing it.
There's an old saying that "it takes a pebble to create a ripple in the wave". I really believe that I can be that pebble. But I can't make a wave if I don't throw it first. I'm jumping in....
I believe we all have different Love Languages and express love to our fellow man through these gifts. My Love Language is the Gift of Service.
I can give love best by giving what I am talented at.
Group Fitness. Zumba. Teaching. Coaching.
You might think "Can teaching a Zumba class really be an expression of love?" Absolutely!
Teaching fitness is a positive way for me to give what I am talented at to make a difference in the health and wellness of others. I also believe that volunteering my time and talent as a Zumba instructor is a creative way for me to start a ripple that can become a wave.
When you hear my friend Darcy's story, you'll understand why.
I believe that every act of service counts and does make a difference. Perhaps not in of itself alone, but in a cumulative way. And this is where YOU come in. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
What is your talent? What is your love language? What is keeping you from acting? Why?
Here's how you can help:
